We are yet to receive a response from the Los Altos PD to our public records request concerning their past and present use of facial recognition surveillance. We are currently seeking legal advice on the best path forward and will update this page as soon as we are able.

Summary

*The County utilizes Digital PhotoManager by DataWorks Plus to manage mugshots of inmates. Every single police department in the County also has access to the program. It has facial recognition capabilities, but it is unclear if any agency is actively using that feature. The CPC will continue to investigate.
